About the Class

For our upcoming semester, we will explore the portrait and figure!

Class is taught by teaching artist Ana Santos Acinas!

Week 1: Portrait. Exploring and learning to draw facial features and practicing shading using only a pencil.

Week 2 + 3: Full Portrait in Color. Using paint, we will begin to practice study proportions and observational drawing by taking turns modeling for the class!

Week 4 + 5: Self-Portrait in clay. Sculpt your face in clay to reinforce understanding of proportions.

Weeks 6 + 7: Human Figure. Learn the proportions of the body, study hands, explore movement, etc. The goal is to help students learn how to observe and translate what they see into drawings.

$210, we are an ESA vendor, siblings join with 20% discount!

We are not accepting walk-ins for this semester, the skills will build on each other each week.

Schedule

Class runs for 7-weeks.. If your child misses a class, we are happy to send home materials so they can keep making stuff at home!
