About the Class
Drawing is at the center of all art making. You want to be a painter? Sculptor? Animator? It all starts with drawing! We all can draw, we just need to start from what we know and build from there. Our family drawing club is all about having fun with drawing and our ideas together.
Each week we offer a different invitation! Coming up:
Upcoming sessions:
Nov 20: blind contour drawing games: give blind contour drawing a try, then create a 3D version of our favorite drawing with wire!
Dec 4: Family figure drawing, Minecraft version! Drawing with blocks, we will see if we can turn members of our family into Minecraft style drawings!
Dec 11: Snowflake grid drawing: explore x and y vertices to create snowflakes!
Dec 18: Holiday card making: using a wide variety of materials, let’s create Holiday cards to share with our friends and family

About the teacher!
Mark Tang is a father, artist, and product designer. He loves getting to share his knowledge with kids about drawing because it opens a new world of possibilities for expression, story telling, and idea building. In his free time, you can find Mark at the local Untitled Gallery where he puts his drawing skills to the test at their biweekly figure drawing classes!

FAQ:
What ages is this best for? Drawing club, family edition, is best suited for kids ages 4+ and their families/framilies.
I have a 3-year old and a 6-year old, can we all join?
YES! We will have some simple sensory stations set up for siblings and kids who get a little wiggly.
Will we be seated for the entire hour?
NO! There will be chances to move around. After a long day, we need some movement!
$15 per fam?
Yes, if you have a gigantic family, (I define this as over 3 kids) maybe just give us a heads up. 🙂 When you sign up, purchase one ticket.
Choose to sign up for the entire semester to save your spot or drop-in when you can.
When does the January semester start?
The January semester will begin on the 15th and run for 7 weeks.
